Below is a selection of attractions we recommend you look into doing in the Paphos Region, there really is something for everybody!

Zephyros Adventure Sports

Zephyros Adventure Sports was established in 2001 as the first, full time, professional, Adventure Sports Centre in Cyprus. Based in Pathos, they have access to the stunning Akamas Park, the impressive Troodos Mountains and, areas surrounding Paphos of incredible natural beauty where year round, a wide range of adventure sports and outdoor pursuits take place. They have daily expeditions which are perfect for the adventurous tourist.

Paphos Archaeological Park

The inclusion of the Kato Pafos archaeological site in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list in 1980 was the starting point for the creation of a General Plan whose aim would be primarily to protect and maintain the archaeological remains. Kato Pafos archaeological Park includes sites and monuments from prehistoric times to the Middle Ages, while most remains date to the Roman period. The marvellous mosaic floors of four Roman villas from the impressive epicentre of the finds. The complex includes other important monuments, such as the Asklipieion, the Odeion, the Agora, the “Saranta Kolones” (Forty Columns) Fortress, the “Limeniotissa” Ruins of early Christian Basilica and the “Tombs of the Kings”.

Local Beaches (Blue Flag)

There are 12 Blue Flag beaches in the region, three of which are in the Polis sub-region. A selection of the most popular include:

Το the east of Paphos International Airport in the Τimi-Mandria area, the beach is big and sandy!

The beaches from Cape Drepanon to Lara are long sandy beaches which are popular amongst the locals.
Asrpokremmos Beach is a 2 km long wide pebble and sandy beach very pleasant for swimming.

Ride in Cyprus

Ride in Cyprus is based in Lysos, Paphos District, Cyprus, 12km SE from a coastal town of Polis. They are beautiful wooden stables overlooking the forest with magnificent mountainous views to Pano Panayia where the Eurasian and African tectonic plates crashed together, lifting Cyprus up out of the sea. Riding beautiful happy horses across spectacular varied country – from forest tracks to deserted Turkish villages, mountains and valleys, wide open plains to deep gorges, sea views and places where the entire vista is forest and nothing man made can be seen. Rides can be for one hour up to 7 days! Sunset brandy sour rides are very popular in the summer and longer treks in spring and autumn. All abilities are catered for. Groups are small and guided.

Baths of Aphrodite

The “Baths of Aphrodite” is an area in the Akamas between Polis and Cape Arnaouti. It derived its name from a small grotto shaded by an old fig tree, in the waters of which, legend has it, the goddess Aphrodite used to bathe. According to mythology, this is where she met her lover Adonis. The site is on the Aphrodite Cultural Route. The area is ideal for hiking, cycling, diving and swimming in crystal clear waters.

Paphos Zoo

Paphos Zoo offers a great wildlife experience! Come and meet all the residents: giraffe, monkeys, meerkats, crocodile, kangaroos, albino wallabies, mouflon, white lions, tigers, tortoises and many more. You will also be able to see one of the largest parrot and venomous snakes collections in Europe.
